In the innovative olive mill of the family, the efforts of one year are transformed into the final product, filling all its members with joy and satisfaction. Olive oil extraction from the fruit occurs within 3 hours from the moment it is removed from the tree.
But the work does not end there. Storage, bottling and durability are things that concerns us throughout the year. Olive tree & Ancient Olympia. The olive tree has been an integral symbol of Peace, Victory, Honor and Unity since ancient times. It was also a symbol of the Olympic ideal as an olive branch was the only prize for the Olympic victors, nevertheless very valuable and important. The institution of the Olympic Games began in 776 BC. in ancient Olympia in honor of the god Zeus, at a time when Greece was disrupted by civil wars, a holy truce was put in place so that athletes and pilgrims could arrive safely. In the beginning the prize for the winners was a sacred apple, but after the prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi, the winners had to be crowned with a wreath of "kotino" wild fertile olive.Read more
